OSRS Agility Pyramid Guide: XP Rates & GP Per Hour

The agility pyramid is an agility training course in the Kharidian Desert between Sophanem and Nardah. Players start from the bottom and climb through the different layers of the pyramid while evading obstacles to get to the top where the Pyramid top is, earning agility XP. The Pyramid top can be handed to Simon Templeton in exchange for 10,000 GP.

Requirements for Agility Pyramid

30 agility: the agility pyramid requires only 30 agility, making it a great method for ironmen to get GP at low levels. However, the chances of failing an obstacle are a lot higher at that level, so players are advised to get at least 50+ agility before using this course.

Recommendations for Agility Pyramid

Desert amulet 4

This is a reward for completing the Elite Desert diary. When worn, it provides immunity to desert heat, so the player does not need to bring waterskins. If you don’t have this item, bring a few waterskins to prevent damage from the desert heat.

Graceful outfit

The Graceful outfit is a weight-reducing gear that can be bought from Grace in the Rogues’ den for 260 marks of grace. It provides a 30% increased natural run energy restoration.

Food

Food is needed to heal from the damage from failing the obstacles. Use your highest-healing food to reduce the trips to the bank. Less is needed with higher Agility levels.

Runelite plugin

The Runelite plugin will highlight each obstacle in the agility pyramid, making it easy for players to detect and navigate through them.

How to get to Agility Pyramid

Here are the fastest methods to get to travel to the Agility Pyramid:

  • Pharoah sceptre: It can be obtained during the pyramid plunder minigame.
  • Nardah teleport: teleport to Nardah and run southwest.
  • Camulet: It is a reward from the Enakhra’s Lament. Use this teleport, then run southwest.
  • Fairy DIQ: use this fairy ring, then run south from there.

Alternatively, players can take the magic carpet from Shantay pass to Pollnivneach and follow the route to the Pyramid.

Obstacles in Agility Pyramid

Start by sliding down the rocks and climbing the side of the Pyramid shown below. Move in a clockwise direction while left-clicking each obstacle to evade them. You don’t have to right-click any obstacle to cross them.

Every obstacle appears multiple times throughout the course and rewards different agility XP based on difficulty.

Stone block

Players just need to walk through these obstacles. If successful, they will be thrown to the next block. If not, it will roll them down one level in the Pyramid and cause six hitpoints of damage. It rewards 12 agility XP and occurs 5 times through the Pyramid.

Low wall

Players can click to climb over these low walls. Occasionally, they may slip and take 4 Hitpoints of damage. It rewards 8 Agility XP and occurs 5 times in the Pyramid.

Ledge

Players can click the small ledge to walk across it. Occasionally, they may trip and fall one level, taking 10 Hitpoints of damage. It rewards 52 Agility XP and occurs 4 times in the Pyramid.

Pyramid block

Moving blocks may push players off the level. This obstacle cannot be bypassed with a high Agility level. Players must time their movements to get past. Stand next to the block and run past as soon as it returns inside the pyramid. If incorrectly timed, they will be pushed down one level and take 8 Hitpoints of damage. It rewards 0 Agility XP and occurs 2 times in the Pyramid.

Plank

Players must click the plank bridge to cross it. Occasionally, they may slip and fall one level, taking 10 Hitpoints of damage. It rewards 56.4 Agility XP and occurs 2 times in the Pyramid.

Gap

Click the gap to cross it. You can lose your grip and fall to the level below, taking 8 Hitpoints of damage. It rewards 56.4 Agility XP and occurs 3 times in the Pyramid.

Gap

Players must jump over this gap. Occasionally, they may miss their footing and comically fall to the level below, taking 8 Hitpoints of damage. It rewards 22 Agility XP and occurs 6 times in the Pyramid.

Climbing rocks

When you get to the top, left-click the pyramid top to climb the wall and collect it. This rewards no Agility XP.

Doorway

Players must follow the clockwise direction around the wall, jumping gaps. Then, while in front of the doorway, click it to enter and return to the base of the Pyramid.

Every lap gives a total of 772 agility XP.

Note that, your weight affects your chances of successfully crossing an obstacle in the Pyramid, so you should always keep it as low as possible. Also, the Pyramid tops weigh a lot so it’s not a good idea to hold more than 2 in your inventory before exchanging them with Simpleton, except at higher agility levels.

XP per hour from Agility Pyramid

Players will fail the obstacles less with increasing agility levels, leading to better XP rates, as shown below.

  • At level 30, players can get 5,000 XP per hour.
  • At level 40, players can get 15,000 XP per hour.
  • At level 60, players can get 25,000 XP per hour
  • At level 70, players can get 33,000 XP per hour
  • At level 80, players can get 42,100 XP per hour.
  • At levels 90-99, players can get 44,700 XP per hour.

GP per hour from Agility Pyramid

A maximum of 26 pyramid tops can be collected each hour, but low agility will cause players to fail too often and find it hard to get the Pyramid top.

  • At level 30, players can get 31,000 GP per hour.
  • At level 40, players can get  93,000 GP  per hour.
  • At level 50, players can get 154,000 GP per hour
  • At level 60, players can get 204,000 GP per hour
  • At level 70, players can get 250,000 GP per hour.
  • At level 80, players can get 260,000 GP per hour
  • At levels 90-99, players can get 260,000 GP per hour.
