The Dagannoth Kings are the three Dagannoths living deep in the Waterbirth Island cave. These monsters are very profitable to kill as they all have unique kill ring drops, with the Rex having 2. Their mechanics are easy to understand. However, they require decent combat stats to kill consistently unless you want to kill only Dagannoth Rex

Location of the Dagannoth Kings

The Dagannoth Kings are in the sixth level of the Waterbirth Island Dungeon. Here are the fastest ways to get to Waterbirth Island:

• Waterbirth teleport from the Lunar Spellbook: the Waterbirth teleport takes the player beside Jarvald’s ship on Waterbirth island.
• Portal nexus in a POH
• Jarvald: Players can teleport to Relleka using Relleka teleport, an enchanted Lyre or the Fremennik Sea boots 2/3/4 then travel there through Jarvald. The enchanted lyre is acquired during the Fremennik Trials quest. With the hard Fremennik diary completed, the enchanted lyre can teleport players to Rellekka.

You have to run past a series of doors and chambers in the dungeon to reach the Dagannoth, and there are no teleports to skip the process. Bringing stamina or super energy potions is recommended, as getting to them is a long process. 

How to Get to the Dagannoth Kings' lair

Here are the steps to get to Dagannoth kings’ lair:

• First, pray melee and drink a stamina potion then enter the Dungeon shown above

• While inside the dungeon, run northeast to the door. Drop your pet rock on one of the sides, then stand on the other for the door to open. If you have a friend, they can stand on one while you stand on the other.

• Continue east while praying melee past the monsters and go south as shown above
• When at the 3 doors, equip a rune thrownaxe, turn on special attack, and attack the door on the western side. The rune thrownaxe will bounce on the 3 doors and they will collapse. Bring multiple rune thrownaxes in case you fail the first time.

• Climb down the ladder in the centre of the doors while praying mage. Run east, and climb down the ladder. Pray against ranged for the Dagannoths when you get down, then continue east.

• Enter the next room and pray against melee for the Giant crabs. Continue east, then go south down the ladder to the Dagannoths. 
• Pray ranged against the Dagannoths while running west, then climb down the ladder.
• Pray mage and continue west. Climb up the ladder in the south, then climb down the ladder in the centre.
• Continue to pray mage and run west to climb up the ladder there.
• Protect from melee for the giant Crabs, then continue east to climb down the ladder there.
• Protect from ranged for the Dagannoths there, continue east, and climb up the ladder on the northern side.
• Continue north and climb down the ladder. Protect from melee against the Dagannoths there, then run east and climb down the ladder on the south.
• Protect from melee against the Rock Lobsters and continue south then east through the room. Pray ranged when you get to the middle of the room and continue east till you see the ladder leading to the Dagannoth kings
• It’s best to run and step over a root to enter the safespot shown in the image below to get ready before entering the Dagannoth kings' lair.

Completion of the Fremennik Trials to get to Waterbirth Island.

• 70+ attack
• 70+ strength
• 75+ magic
• 70+ ranged
• 80+ defence
• 70+ hitpoints
• 70+ prayer for Piety
• 85+ agility for a shortcut to get to the Dagannoth Kings

If you want to kill only Dagannoth Rex, here are the minimum stats required:

• 50 magic
• 43 prayer
• Completion of the Underground pass to use the Iban’s staff
• At least 40 defence

Completion of Hard Fremennik Diary

You should complete the hard Fremennik diary if you plan to kill the Dagannoth kings for long periods. When the diary is completed, the Dagannoth kings will drop Daganoth bones in noted form, saving your inventory space.

Spinolyps

Spinolyps are small, Dagannoth-like creatures with a combat level of 76 in the same arena as the Dagannoth Kings. They have ranged and magic attacks that can poison players, so you should bring anti-poison. They will continuously attack you while you are in the arena and will never become tolerant of you.

The Dagannoth Kings

All three Dagannoth kings have a combat level of 303.

Dagannoth Prime

The Dagannoth prime is weak to ranged attacks and uses magic attacks that can deal up to 50 damage. Protect from magic prevents damage from his attacks.

Dagannoth Rex

The Dagannoth Rex uses melee attacks with a maximum hit of 26 and is weak to magic attacks. He can be binded or lured to the edges of the islet where he can get stuck easily, making him the easiest one to deal with.

Dagannoth Supreme

The Dagannoth Supreme uses ranged attacks that hit harder than Rex’s melee attacks but lower than Prime’s magic attacks. He is weak to melee attacks and is somewhat easy to deal with but can hit multiple players if facing his direction.

Strategy For Killing all 3 Dagannoth Kings

If you plan to kill all 3 Dagannoth kings, here is the fastest method to kill them:

• Enter the room when Prime is not close to Supreme. This can be hard as you might have to leave and re-enter the room a few times.
• When Supreme is not close to Prime, attack Supreme with melee while praying against ranged. You should try to kill him as fast as possible; use spec weapons if you bring one. If unlucky and Prime starts to attack you, switch protection prayers accordingly to protect from both their attacks. This is quite easy. Switch prayers as soon as you see their respective attack animations.
• After you kill Supreme, switch your magic gear, attack Rex, and move to the safespot in the western area shown above. If Prime is attacking you, pray magic, and don’t worry about Rex’s attacks since you are at a safespot.
• When Rex is dead, attack Prime with ranged while avoiding the position where Supreme spawns as shown above. You should use a long-range ranged weapon here so don’t get too close to where Supreme spawns.
• When Prime is dead and Supreme has spawned, attack Supreme with melee while avoiding Rex by staying as northwest as possible.
• Attack Rex with magic while using the safespot. Repeat the process for longer trips. The order is always Supreme, Rex, and then Prime.

If you can’t kill them in time before another king spawns, then you should consider training your combat stats or getting better gear.

Strategy for Killing only Dagannoth Rex

Make sure you have the recommended stats for Dagannoth Rex shown above and equip some tanking gear.

• Only enter the arena when the Dagannoth kings don’t attack you and are far from the southern edges. This might take a couple of tries. 
• When they are in the right area, stay close to the southern edges of the arena, avoid the centre where the Dagannoths kings are, and make your way to the area marked above.
• Pray against melee, attack Dagannoth Rex, and return to the marked area. When he attacks you at the marked area, run to the safespot on the southeastern corner to trap him.
• Stay here and continue to attack Rex till he is dead.

If you want to save your food and time, look for a world where a player is already attacking the brothers by right-clicking to peek into the room. When you find one, run to the safespot. The brothers won’t attack you since they are distracted. When you get to the safespot, get your health up and close the RuneLite. Hop worlds then log back in. You might die from the attacks from the Spinolyps if you have low combat stats.

Dagannoth Rex and Prime

If you have decent combat stats, you can kill Dagannoth Rex and Prime from the safespot shown above. You have to wait till Supreme is not close to pick up the loot or use telegrab to get them.  

GP per hour from Killing Dagannoth Kings

While wearing the suggested gear and stats, players can kill all 3 Dagannoth kings 25 times per hour. The average kill from killing all 3 kings is 120K, resulting in a profit of 2.6M after the cost of supplies has been deducted.

Killing only Dagannoth Rex is also quite profitable. Players can kill him 28 times each hour. An average Rex kill is worth approximately 54K GP, resulting in a profit of 1.3M after the cost of supplies has been deducted.

Drops from the Dagannoth Kings

All Dagannoth kings drop weapons, armour, runes, seeds, talisman, food, and rare items.

• The Unique drops from Dagannoth Rex are the Berserker ring (1/128), Warrior ring (1/128), and the Pet Dagannoth Rex (1/5,000)
• The Unique drops from Dagannoth Prime are the Seers ring (1/128), Mud battlestaff (1/128), and the Pet Dagannoth Prime(1/5,000)
• The Unique drops from Dagannoth Supreme are the Archer's ring (1/128), Seercull (1/128), and the Pet Dagannoth Supreme (1/5,000)
