OSRS Kraken Boss Guide: Strategy & Gear Setup
This OSRS Kraken Guide explains the best strategy for fighting Kraken, including the inventory and g...
There are many types of Melee weapons in OSRS, each designed for a specific combat style: slash, stab, or crush as shown by the weapon's attack bonuses. This determines how well these weapons perform against different opponents since they are usually weaker against one of those styles.
Melee weapons are usually the most cost-effective method of combat in OSRS, as players do not need ammunition or runes to use them. Although some degrade and need to be recharged, the cost of using most melee weapons is very low.
To compare the melee weapons, we have compared their DPS on a sand crab. Higher DPS means higher XP per hour, and therefore it will be better to use for melee training.
The better your Attack level, the better the weapons you can use for Melee training. We have ordered the Melee training weapons from lowest to highest Attack requirements. Weapons with higher Attack requirements generally offer better DPS, leading to higher XP per hour.
